Setting up Metaplane (Advanced)

This page is intended for Metaplane users who have already set up a few monitors, integrated their central data store (i.e. data warehouse), and want to get even more value out of their Metaplane account. These bullet points can be followed in any order.

• Integrate the rest of your data stack:
  • Understand the impact of data outages by integrating your BI tools, and Reverse ETL tools.
    • BI Tools: Looker, Metabase, Mode, Power BI, Sigma, Tableau
    • Reverse ETL tools: Census, Hightouch
  • Identify when ingestion and transformation errors cause data quality issues with our Fivetran and dbt (Core, Cloud) integrations.
• Configure your monitors to change monitoring frequencies and filter monitored data.
• Advanced monitors: Set up Custom SQL and Group By monitors to handle edge case use cases, such as unique business logic or a desire to
• Set up distinct slack channels for different types of alerts or by tags so that the right group of stakeholders are aware of relevant alerts.
